Firewall.

I have downloaded a trial of Armature Invest just today but when I try to download updates re- Reload, A message tells me that the trial period is over.

Sorry for any problems, I have sorted it out now, I think my Zone Alarm firewall Prog was blocking it. I havent even used the program once yet as I have just downloaded it, It looks great and I cant wait to try it out.

Hi Peter.

Ah Yes, firewall's needs to let Amateur Invest pass through. Amateur gets its prices via the internet, and need to be able to communicate with the internet via port 80 - so you need to let invest.exe pass through the firewall, when it asks you for permission.

- Can you tell me what you did to get it working - I will then post a message about firewall problems on the "how-to" page on the site.

Hi Michael,

All that was happening, that I didn't realise, was that zone alarm (the firewall) was asking if I wanted to let the program receive information from the internet. I pressed no as I was thinking at the time it was information from an outside source. I finally, after seeing it appear the next time it asked me, that it was associated with the program, and wanted to download the updates. Now all is well - Thank you.
